A fantastic opportunity has arisen as Credit Control Team Leader to join our team for a 12 month contract. You will be responsible for managing a team of credit controllers to drive cash collections.
The role will be instrumental in building strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders and training & developing the skills of the team.
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Regional Credit Manager you will be responsible managing your own small ledger and leading a team of 3 credit controllers within a high volume high value ledger of a £1bn business.
Driving cash collections and helping to minimise risk.
Ensuring that Credit policy areas are maintained and adhered to within all parts of the business.
Strong relationship management is key, with both internal and external customers.
You will oversee customer accounts within your ledgers, ensuring accurate payments are made within the terms agreed and help reduce debtor days. You will need to work closely and effectively with our branch network and senior managers to work through any credit issues that arise and escalate any issues to the Regional Credit Manager.
Analyse data and be commercially aware when analysing the risk of accounts and how it will impact on the business
Previous Team Leader & Credit Control management experience
Experience of high volume account management
Account reconciliation, dealing with intricate accounts is essential
Exceptional drive of cash collection through team management.
Strong HR skills and dealing with team issues.
Direct Debit set up/collection experience.
Strong Excel skills and report creation.
Exceptional communication skills.
